This unit provides the skills and knowledge to identify and control manual handling risks, apply safe lifting and handling techniques, and reduce injury, in line with regulations. It is suitable for all field workers who carry out manual handling tasks.

Course aim
On completion, learners will be able to apply the knowledge and skills to identify, recognise the need for, and adopt methods to control manual handling risks, thereby reducing the frequency of injuries.
Target learner group
Qualified Lineworkers and Cable Jointers who have the required LV filed switching competency and undertake LV field switching.
