Optec was formed in 1993, located in Morwell, Victoria. To meet the evolving demands of customers, we now have training facilities in both Morwell, Victoria and Osborne Park, Western Australia.

We are proud to offer consultancy services and industry specific training courses that are compliant with national and state regulatory bodies, as well as industry specific codes of practice.

Optec’s involvement in High Voltage operating, electrical engineering design, High Voltage plant operating / maintenance, power station, Oil and gas, mining and electrical safety procedure development within a range of sectors (Generation, Transmission, Distribution & High Voltage Customer Power Systems, and Public Transport Infrastructure), gives us an unrivalled level of knowledge that translates to high quality training, productive consultancy and visible results.

Energy Safe Victoria: Optec consulting is accredited to assist the operators of High Voltage installations, develop and manage an approved “Electrical Safety Management Scheme” and provide a validation service to ESV for proposed new Electrical Safety Management Schemes. Optec is accredited as a High Voltage Inspector to conduct inspections of HV installations.

Participating member of the Victorian Electricity Supply Industry – Code of Practice (Bluebook) Victorian Electrical Safety Committee and High voltage Customer Electrical safety subcommittee.

OPTEC is a Training Organisation Registered by Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
